Mark J Watts taught me how to use a darkroom and make silver gelatin prints and process b&w film. Well technically, I learned how to do that in high school, but prior to learning from Mark, the last time I was in a dark room my HS communications teacher gathered the class and instructed them not to be like “Corbin” who was “a zero.” (To be honest that might have had something to do with me gargling with the chemicals and losing a filling.) Anyway, back to Mark. Mark lives in my hometown and works at The Flower City Arts Center. He’s done some cool wilderness/landscape photographic work with a pin hole camera and extra long exposures. One of the awesome things he does is teach kids analog photography.
Mark was the second person to use our camera. These are some of the images he made.
This last image is so gloriously creepy to me.
